This procedure, with its global recognition, has become a worldwide phenomenon and could still easily be called the hottest new procedure in the cosmetic world.

With so many options for facial rejuvenation, why seek a better approach? Cosmetic surgery can remove excess skin and make a person look younger, but a surgical facelift might be more than necessary for some, especially when the primary issue is loss of facial volume rather than excess skin. 

Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers can restore youthful volume and shape by lifting the skin away from the bone. However, HA fillers can create issues near the eye, and when used to target wrinkles, they can sometimes result in a shape that looks unnatural to the person’s face—or even unnatural, period. Moreover, HA fillers do little to enhance skin tone and texture.

Prolonged Botox use may weaken facial muscles, resulting in unnatural expressions and accelerated aging. Continuous use may also create a dependency on the treatment to maintain appearance. Additionally, Botox can lead to changes in skin texture or the development of fine lines in untreated areas.

4 Steps of the Vampire Facial® Procedure

Step 1: Isolating and Activating Growth Factors
‍
Your provider will draw about two teaspoons of blood from your arm. Using a centrifuge, the provider will isolate the platelets from the blood, creating platelet-rich plasma (PRP) within about 10 minutes.

These platelets are then "activated" to release at least eight growth factors, which the body naturally uses to heal damaged tissue. These growth factors are crucial in boosting collagen production and promoting new blood flow, essential for skin rejuvenation. 

While your blood is in the centrifuge, the provider will apply numbing cream to your face. This will help decrease any discomfort. 

Step 2: Applying and Absorbing Growth Factors

Next, your provider will use a micro-needling device to create numerous tiny punctures in the skin. This process helps drive the isolated growth factors into the skin and stimulates collagen tightening and rejuvenation. 

Finally, the provider will apply the growth factors directly onto the micro-punctures, allowing them to penetrate deeper into the tissue and further enhance skin tightening and rejuvenation. The growth factors are then applied to the skin, interacting with existing multipotent stem cells.

This process "tricks" the stem cells into believing there has been an injury, prompting them to generate new, younger tissue.

Step 3: Injecting the Growth Factors

After the micro-needling and PRP application, the provider will use a tiny needle to inject your growth factors into specific “problem” areas in your face, such as around the mouth and between the eyebrows.

These growth factors activate multipotent stem cells in the skin, encouraging them to generate new, younger tissue by stimulating a healing response.
